You’re Good at What You Do. But Your Finances May Not Have Had the Same Attention.

You may be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, executive, entrepreneur or experienced professional.

You have spent years becoming good at what you do.

But somewhere along the way, your own finances may have taken a back seat.

Perhaps most of your savings are still sitting in cash because you are cautious about making the wrong move.

Perhaps you started investing some time ago, but still feel you do not fully understand what you are doing.

Perhaps you already have investments through a banker or financial adviser, but would like greater visibility and control.

Perhaps you tell yourself you’re “not good with numbers” - even though you manage complex responsibilities confidently in other areas of your life.

Or perhaps you simply feel that, given everything you have worked hard to build, you should understand your money better than you do.

You are financially capable. You just want to feel more financially confident.

Perhaps There's Also a Little Embarrassment

You are competent in so many areas of your life.

So it can feel uncomfortable admitting that you do not really understand investing, or that your finances feel less organised than they should.

You may find yourself thinking:  “I should know this by now.”

But managing money and investing are skills like any other.

If nobody ever taught you how to do it properly, there is no reason you should automatically know.

You do not need to become a financial expert.

You simply need to understand enough to make good decisions about your own money.

The Goal Is Not Simply to Have More Investments

It Is to understand your money and feel in control of It.

Imagine knowing exactly where you stand financially.

Understanding what you own and why.

Knowing how much risk is appropriate for you.

Being able to evaluate opportunities without constantly second-guessing yourself.

Having informed conversations with your banker, adviser or spouse.

And feeling that YOU, rather than fear, market noise or other people’s opinions, are driving your financial decisions.

That is financial confidence.

A Different Kind of Financial Coaching

Financial confidence does not come from knowing everything.

It comes from understanding your finances, having a clear strategy and feeling confident enough to act on it.

That is why my approach brings together three areas:

CLARITY
Understand where you stand financially, what you own and what you want your money to make possible.

MINDSET
Understand how your experiences, beliefs and relationship with money may be influencing the decisions you make.

STRATEGY
Develop an investment approach that fits your goals, risk tolerance and life - one you understand and can confidently manage.

Understand first. Have a plan. Then act with confidence.

Depending on your needs, our work may include reviewing your financial position, existing investments, approach to risk, financial goals and the mindset influencing your decisions.

The Your Finance Mind Framework

Because better financial decisions start with understanding what drives them.

Knowing what to do with money is only part of the equation.

We all carry experiences, beliefs and unwritten rules about money that influence how we save, invest and take risk - often without realising it.

Through my signature Your Finance Mind™ Framework, we explore the patterns behind your financial decisions.

You may discover that a fear of losing money is keeping too much of your savings in cash.

Or that the belief “I’m not good with numbers” has made investing feel more intimidating than it needs to be, leading you to avoid decisions or rely too heavily on others.

Or perhaps a need to make the “perfect” decision has kept you waiting on the sidelines.

Together, we identify the beliefs and patterns that may be holding you back, challenge the ones that no longer serve you, and help you develop a healthier and more confident relationship with money.

Because lasting financial confidence comes not only from knowing what to do - but from understanding what has been stopping you from doing it.

You Don’t Have to Become a Risk-Taker to Become an Investor.

If you are naturally cautious with money, I am not here to push you into taking risks you are uncomfortable with.

Confidence comes from understanding.

We take the time to explore what risk means for you, what you can reasonably afford to take and what level of uncertainty you are emotionally comfortable with.

The aim is not to become more aggressive with your money.

It is to make thoughtful decisions with enough understanding that you feel safe moving forward.

You May Already Have Investments - or a Banker or Financial Adviser.

That is perfectly fine.

Their role and mine are different.

A banker or financial adviser may recommend products, investments or financial solutions.

My role is to help you become a more informed and confident financial decision-maker.

Perhaps you have already invested, but still do not fully understand how your portfolio fits together.

Perhaps you own investments through several platforms or advisers and want a clearer overall picture.

Or perhaps you simply want to rely less on other people when making decisions about your own money.

I do not manage your investments or make decisions on your behalf.

Instead, I help you understand what you own, ask better questions and make more informed decisions for yourself.

My intention is to help you understand your investments and feel in control of your financial life.

Sometimes the Biggest Change Is Not the Portfolio - Meet Lynnette

When Lynnette first came to me, she wanted to make her money work harder.

But through our work together, she gained something more valuable: greater clarity, confidence and awareness of how her own money mindset had been influencing her decisions.

Over time, she became increasingly confident taking an active role in managing her family’s finances and investments.

What changed was not simply what she invested in.

It was how she saw herself as a financial decision-maker.

Why Private Coaching?

There is no shortage of information about investing.

Books. Podcasts. Videos. Financial news. Social media.

But information cannot look at your individual situation and tell you:
What actually matters for you?

How much should you keep in cash? How much risk makes sense for you? Does your current portfolio reflect your goals? Are you making a decision because it makes sense or because fear is influencing you?

Private coaching gives you a confidential space to work through your money, your mindset and your decisions.

You can ask the questions you may feel you “should already know.”

You can slow down when you need to understand something more deeply.

And when you are ready to act, you have someone beside you to help you think through the process.

I am not here to push you into investing. I am here to help you understand enough to move forward with confidence.

A Coaching Approach Rooted in Heart, Experience & Clarity

Hi, I'm Dinah Poehlmann, a former private banker and finance mindset coach.

My years in banking gave me insight into investments, wealth and the way financially successful people make decisions.

But my own journey taught me something equally important:

Financial knowledge does not automatically create financial confidence.

I grew up with my own scarcity mindset - worrying about money and fearing losing it.

Understanding and changing that relationship with money eventually transformed the way I approached my own finances.

Today, I bring those two worlds together through my signature Your Finance Mind Framework - combining financial clarity, investing education and deeper mindset work.

My goal is not simply to teach you what to do with your money.

It is to help you understand your finances, understand what may be influencing your decisions and develop the confidence to make better choices for yourself.

A High-Touch Private Coaching Experience

I work with a small number of private clients at any one time so that the coaching remains thoughtful, personal and tailored to each individual.

If Invest with Confidence resonates with you, the next step is to book a non-obligatory Clarity Call for us to explore working together.

This call will help me understand where you are financially, what you would like to achieve and whether Invest with Confidence is likely to be the right fit.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No. Some clients have substantial savings but have not yet invested with confidence. Others already own investments but want greater clarity and understanding.  We start from where you are.

That is very common. Many of my clients have saved diligently but feel cautious about putting money into the market. We work through your financial position, goals, risk tolerance and concerns so that you can make decisions from a place of understanding rather than pressure.

That is also completely fine. We'll review your existing investments and help you better understand what you already own, how your investments fit together and whether your current approach still reflects your goals.

That is completely fine. Coaching can help you understand your financial position more deeply, ask better questions and engage more confidently with the professionals you already work with.

No.  I do not provide stock tips or tell clients what to buy or sell. I do not provide any form of regulated financial advice. You Don’t Need to Know Everything About Investing.

But you should understand your own money.

You have worked hard to get where you are today.

The next step may not simply be earning or saving more.

It may be understanding what you already have, becoming more intentional with it and feeling confident enough to make decisions for yourself.

Understand your finances. Understand your investments. Take greater ownership of your financial future.
